Sparks

The fire spits out

Another spark

That aims to start

A flame–

All of its own.

Most sparks are cold

Before a home is found,

And so they never grow.

The fire spits out

Another spark,

That fails to blaze

A torch,

That quickly dies;

Put out while small

(Still bright) it burned,

And so a scorch remains.
