Nothing to See
She’s in pain again
So she says
With nothing to display
No contorted face
No strangled eyes
No writhing
Maybe it’s all in her head
It can’t be that bad
She’s out of bed
And not in a battle
To feel human
Not gambling with tomorrow
To create a today.
Worth remembering–
Look how she sways to that song
Which reminds her of that time
When her body sang along.
She could stay in this frame
Of mind
Not minding the nerves that burn.
Are we supposed to believe
Your bones cry for relief
As you dance in the street?
This could all go away;
If just like us
You would insist
What cannot be seen
Does not exist.
