September

The wall of summer humidity

Is slowly showing my glimpses of fall’s frigid soul,

The waves of heat no longer

Wash upon the morning shore,

The leaves not as soft as they

Once were before,

The warmth of nature’s colours

Wrap around me in the morning hours,

As I close my eyes and breathe in,

The welcomed weight of Mother Nature’s

Rest has finally fallen.
