Om Guragai

Hello Poetry Lighthouse, my name is Om. I’m from Melbourne Australia. I graduated from university 6 years ago doing bachelors of nursing and since then I have done little bit of everything. I am an avid reader as I enjoy reading and learning about new things  and I try to incorporate new ideas into my life. I also like to journal and write a lot, since having a stroke in April this year I have been doing a lot of poetry writing and reading poems from famous poets like Rumi, Maya Angelou, Charles Dickens and Charles Bukowski. The writers mentioned before gave me inspiration to start my writing journey while I was recovering at home and awaiting further treatments.

These days I am just enjoying what life has to offer and appreciating it fully (bad or good). My hobbies include writing my thoughts out, going for walks, exercising and reading.
