Morgana Faye

Hi! I'm Morgana (Morgi), and I like to dabble in short stories and poetry. They are comfort mediums in which to bring to life my ideas. Writing gives me time to slow down, collect my thoughts, and present them on paper. It helps catch those words before they slip from my grasp, lost in the translation process. Because as much as I enjoy writing, the editorial process is so satisfying. Good writing should deliver like luxury whisky, drunken down smooth and easy. It should have subtle hints of complexity to add to the flavor profile. Which, for writing, is good foreshadowing and compelling motives and themes. But how can one enhance the quality of their writing? Beyond proofreading, editing is a means to bring out the best in these works. That is where I can help. Writing is not something set in stone. It is not exclusive to the all-time greats analyzed in schools. Our interactions with the world have far greater influences than supposed genetic giftedness. Good writing should illustrate this understanding of the world. Or, at the very least, attempt to incorporate their experiences into their works. But even the most inexperienced can still write something of value. With a little push, anyone can create works they can be proud of. And I’d like to be that person who can point them in that direction. To help them harness their full potential and not shy away from the challenges of writing. Which begins with recognizing where to improve - what mistakes, big or small, they’re making. Only then can they establish a solid literary foundation for the future.
